Be A Farmer
It’s a farmer’s life
This year Farmer Greg has invited visitors to come and experience what it is like to be a farmer with him. This is a unique opportunity, and we are so excited to invite you all behind the scenes!
You will join him on his morning round, and help him care for the animals, and then have a proper farmer’s breakfast!
The experience is for an hour and a half. It starts at 9.30am (Prompt), when you will need to pull on your overalls (provided) and your wellies (please bring your own) and you will meet up with Farmer Greg for a guided tour of his jobs. Please meet at the entrance to the main marquee. From age 2 on-wards all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
You will be able to:
- Feed, water and care for lots of our animals (cows, sheep, goats, ducks)
- Feed Larry the Llama
- Feed and then collect the eggs from the ducks and chickens.
- ‘Bed-up’ some of the animals… including mucking out!
You will learn lots of information about the jobs that you will be doing and about the animals we have on the farm. The time will finish with a hot drink and a bacon roll, as well as a certificate to mark your special time.
The cost of the experience including breakfast and entry for the day is £16.50. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to check available dates.
You must make a booking with us for the experience. There is a maximum of 6 children on any one-day, plus a parent. Please call us 01256 220 398 for more information on how to book.
